19 Month Old Not Talking. I have a healthy beautiful 19 month baby boy. If you are concerned then speak to your HV but 19 months isnt necessarily a cause for concern especially if he has good understanding and is saying a couple of words. Even as a baby he didnt do much chooo-ing hes always been pretty quiet. Doesnt babble as if talking.
Hi there My 19 month son is not displaying much talk either. Heshe will sleep one time around mid day. Even when she tries to talk like ball shell say ba but only if we ASK her to say ball. My 19 month old does not say as many words as his ped. Even as a baby he didnt do much chooo-ing hes always been pretty quiet. He says the odd word when you catch him off guard but i do believe he just doesnt find it very useful at the minute.

You might be surprised how quickly their vocabulary develops.
