2 Cm Dilated At 37 Weeks. The first stage of labor ends when a womans cervix is fully dilated to 10 cm and fully effaced thinned out. Doc says Im having a feb baby lol Im due March 6 im a FTM. Doc said she could feel my bag of waters as well. Soak in that last few weeks.
Doctor checked my cervix and Im a loose 2 cm dilated already. During the course of labour the neck of the womb becomes softer and thinner. This is called uterine cervix effacement. Im 37 weeks and today at my check up i was 60 effaced but only 1cm dilated.
My third I had to be induced 9 day early because I was almost 6 cm at a dr visit.
