Air Force Maternity Leave. When a member of the RAF goes on Maternity Paternity Leave does their seniority in rank mark time or accrue during the period of that leave.
The Mothers of Military Service MOMS Leave Act is being considered by Congress as a possible amendment to the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act. Therefore current Air Force policy remains at 10 days for Parental Leave as governed by AFI 36-3003. If passed it would give moms across all reserve components of the military. Department of Defense policy has not yet been revised to implement leave for secondary caregivers.
